Diane Firth – Artist

becky_0 I have always been fascinated by the human figure, particularly the face and have focused on the challenge of representing people either in paintings, drawings, photography or digital work.

I studied for a degree in art at Chelsea College of Art and then for an MA in Fine Art at Chichester University. Since finishing my Masters I have concentrated on painting and drawing portraits and recent examples are shown in the ‘current work’ section. Previous work is shown in the other galleries. I regularly post new work on facebook so like me on facebook if you want to see what I’m doing. Search for Diane Firth Artist.

My next exhibition is the Cambridge Drawing Society Spring show at the Pitt Building in central Cambridge from the 14th to the 21st April. Admission is free and it runs from 10-5.30pm every day (till 4pm on the 21st).

Exhibitions have included: Robinson College Cambridge, Open Portrait Exhibition – RBSA Gallery Birmingham, The Essex Open, Beecroft Gallery, Southend; Haslemere santaback Museum, Surrey; Otter Gallery, Chichester; ZiZi Gallery, London; Chelsea College of Art, London; Candid Arts Trust, London and Markovitch Gallery, London. I’m also a member of the Cambridge Drawing Society and the Society of Chrishall Artists.
